A walima moves fast and covers a lot of ground: the couple's entrance, the stage photographs with each set of guests, the meal, and often music or a formal programme. We plan the walima like an event with several moving parts happening in parallel: the couple's grand entrance, usually the single most photographed moment of the evening, needs a clean angle and good light, which we scout in advance with your venue. The stage sequence, where guests come up in groups for photographs with the couple, is choreographed calmly so it doesn't eat into the evening, and we know how to keep that line moving without anyone feeling rushed.
Beyond the formal moments, our second shooters work the floor: candid reactions from family, the couple's private glance between formalities, the details of the décor and the food, and the energy of guests enjoying themselves. These candid frames are often the ones couples treasure most once the formal stage photographs have been seen once and set aside.
