An engagement session, whether a formal ring ceremony or a relaxed couple shoot around the city, is often the first time our clients are photographed together as a newly engaged pair. The Wedding Film photographs engagements across Mumbai, from family ring ceremonies at home or in a hall to outdoor couple sessions along the seafront and in the city's most photogenic corners.
We treat every engagement shoot a little differently depending on what you want from it: a formal ceremony calls for family portraits and coverage of the ring exchange itself; a couple session calls for a relaxed, unposed approach that captures how you actually are together, not stiff, staged looks at the camera.
Two Kinds of Engagement Photography We Offer
For a formal engagement or ring ceremony, we cover it much like a smaller wedding function: family introductions, the ring exchange, blessings from elders, and portraits of both families together, often the earliest photographs of the two families as one extended one.
For a couple-only engagement session, we scout Mumbai locations that suit your personalities and the images you want: Marine Drive and the seafront promenades for open, airy portraits, Bandra's heritage lanes for something more intimate and textured, or a private studio setting if you'd rather keep it simple and controlled. We plan around golden hour wherever possible for the warmest, most flattering light.
These sessions are also a useful trial run before the wedding itself: a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera together, and for us to learn how you move and interact, which makes wedding-day coverage even more natural.
