A newborn changes so quickly that the earliest days are worth documenting deliberately, not just caught between naps on a phone camera. The Wedding Film offers newborn photoshoots across Mumbai, at home or in a private studio, built entirely around the baby's comfort, safety and schedule rather than a fixed plan we insist on regardless.
We work best with newborns in the first two to three weeks, when babies tend to sleep more deeply and curl naturally, though we're just as happy to photograph an older baby if that window has passed; every age has its own charm worth capturing.
A Gentle, Safety-First Approach
Newborn sessions move at the baby's pace, not a clock's: we build in time for feeding, soothing and settling between setups, and never force a pose that seems uncomfortable. If parents prefer to keep the baby simply held and calm rather than positioned in specific setups, that's entirely fine too, some of the most treasured newborn images are the quietest ones.
We also photograph the small, fleeting details that disappear within weeks: tiny fingers and toes, the specific way a newborn curls, the first family portraits with an older sibling meeting the baby for the first time. These are usually the images parents say they're most grateful to have later.
At-home sessions are popular because they keep the environment familiar and comfortable for a newborn who isn't ready for much movement or travel yet; we bring our own lighting and set up to work within your existing space rather than asking you to travel to us.
