The Wedding Film offers maternity photoshoots across Mumbai, in a private studio setting or on location, with the same gentle, considerate approach we bring to every portrait session.
We keep these sessions relaxed and unhurried: comfortable poses that flatter rather than strain, breaks whenever needed, and a pace set entirely by how the mother-to-be is feeling on the day, not a rigid shot list ticked off regardless of comfort.
Planning a Session Around Comfort and Light
Most maternity sessions work best in the third trimester, typically between 28 and 34 weeks, when the bump is well-defined but the mother is usually still comfortable moving and holding poses for a reasonable stretch of time. We plan the specific timing with you based on how you're feeling rather than a fixed rule.
Location matters too: a private studio gives full control over lighting and backdrop, useful for a clean, timeless look; an outdoor location, a garden, the seafront, or a favourite spot in the city, brings in natural light and a personal backdrop that means something to your story. We're happy to scout a location together if you have somewhere specific in mind.
Partners, siblings, and even a firstborn child are often included in part of the session, and we plan for that too, so the finished gallery captures the whole family's anticipation, not just the mother alone.
